Taylor Swift's real name Taylor Swift is Taylor Alison Swift. Taylor Swift was born on December 13th of 1989, in West Reading, Pennsylvania U.S.A. Taylor Swift became an incredibly popular performer and song writer in the early part of 2001 when she began sharing her stories of pain and heartbreak. Swift was a fan of music since a young age. She swiftly rose through the ranks, beginning with roles in children's theater before performing before a large crowd. Swift was 11 years old when she performed The Star-Spangled Banner at a Philadelphia 76ers basketball game. Following that Swift began to write songs and got a guitar. Swift had taken her inspirations from Shania Twain's music and that of her band the Dixie Chicks now known as The Chicks in the world of music from the country genre, wrote the original songs she wrote to express the feeling of being alienated. Swift was 13 when her parents decided to sell their Pennsylvania farm and move into Hendersonville Tennessee. She could spend all of her efforts to contacting the country music labels that were based in Nashville.
